About Jeff Mize
As a musician, Jeff Mize is well acquainted with what it's like to be moved by a musical performance or expression. The only way to approach capturing that moment is in a recording. Likewise, through the medium of photography, He enjoys the artistic exercise of capturing a moment, memory or feeling and freezing it in time. Jeff's portfolio illustrates his broad and varied interests in subject matter. Each new day, place and moment brings new opportunities to find artistic beauty in surrounding things, people and places. Thanks for stopping by and sharing in these captured moments. ___________________________ RECENT NEWS: Jeff has received 1ST PLACE HONORS AND CASH AWARD in the 2017 JURIED ART SHOW, hosted by the Grand...

John Glass
Just east of Austin out off of FM 969 is a are called Hornsbys Bend. That is where I grew up.. Across the road from us lived my Grandparents Samual Fieldling Glass and his wife Nora. Their front porch was devided in two parts, one the entry into the house and the other a screened in area that my Grandfather would go to take his afternoon naps. Attached to that room was a window very similar to the one in your picture that too went all the way to the floor. For us boys (I had 5 brothers), that window was the entrance into the room. We would go many afternoons and ly wiwth Granddaddy and listen to his storys of the ranchlife "before the war" until we all fell asleep. Thanks for the stirring the memorys with you amazing work.
